This is a grant funded position and contingent upon renewed funding.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Title V and Distance Learning / Professional Development, the Instructional Designer will work collaboratively with faculty and staff in the production of online courses and supplemental materials, including training and consultation, in relation to all aspects of Distance Learning and Professional Development.

Requirements |
Required Qualifications: BA in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development in Online Methodology, or degree in related field plus 4 years experience which must include 2 years experience using WebCT 4.1 or Campus Edition 6 or equivalent course management system plus 2 years experience creating web-based instructional and supplemental materials. Highly advanced, broad-based job specific knowledge generally recognized in the field. Applies complex/specialized knowledge to assignments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, image editing software, HTML editor. Ability to apply principles of Universal Design for Learning, and comply with the requirements of the ADA. Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and management on technical and non-technical issues. Experience working with non-traditional, diverse student and employee populations.
Preferred Skills and knowledge: Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design or closely related field from an accredited institution. Five years experience creating web-based instructional and supplemental materials. Two years experience using interactive multimedia technology. Two years experience designing, developing and maintaining websites. Experience in a post-secondary setting. College teaching experience.
